I collect hobbies they way other folks collect dolls or books or fine wine.  I am a hopeless “Hobby Hopper”.

I jump from one craft to another as the need or urge arises.  I love the designing process.  When I wake up in the morning my mind is working on creating something, be it a purse, a jacket or a basket, to meet a specific need or inspiration of the moment.

I never go shopping and think, “I just have to have that dress (or table or picture frame, etc).   What I do say is, “I just have to make that?”  Or else I start designing one better.

For example, the other day I was shopping for picture frames and found one that caught my eye.  But I didn’t want it.  I immediately began mentally designing a frame from polymer clay.  I make myself crazy! My mind is off to the next design or project before I finish the one I’m working on.  It is hard for me to finish.  My hope is that the blogging process shapes some of my project ideas into finished pieces.

However, the main purpose of this blog is to chronicle my celebration of the human impulse to imagine, create and beautify.
